Gallery of mock HST images of FIRE galaxies

Phil Hopkins has produced a beautiful gallery of mock Hubble Space Telescope images of FIRE galaxies (example shown below).

Every galaxy in this gallery is a simulation evolved effectively starting with the cosmic microwave background to the present day, using physical equations. The gallery provides a great overview of the diversity of galaxies that arise!
